The Fire Certificate or Fire Safety Certificate is a document confirming compliance of the product with fire safety requirements.
Products are certified for fire safety to confirm compliance of the products with fire safety requirements. The certification is performed as per legislation requirement of the Russian Federation. The reason for the Russian Federation requirements still being enforced is due to the TR CU Fire Safety Certificate not being harmonized yet across the region.
This Technical Regulation became effective on May 1, 2009. It was adopted to protect the health and property of citizens, legal entities, state and public properties from fire. It defines the main criteria of technical regulation applicable to fire safety and stipulates general fire safety requirements. The technical regulation for fire safety is legally based on the local Federal Law of Fire Safety and therefore is applicable only in particular country. The fire safety technical regulation details the fire safety requirements of the products, covering the design, manufacture, operation, storage, transportation, sale and disposal processes, it also specifies the legalities applicable to the conformance evaluation. Each product shall have a fire protection system to prevent a fire from occurring.
